“Most skateboards have been designed by skater, for skaters.”
I went and checked out Skateboard at the Design Museum the other day – it was great! The evolution of the skateboard is a really interesting one, and this quote really grabbed me.
Why?
Because it’s great to have products designed by the end user and something that’s quite unusual these days unless a product started as an alternative one that someone needed and thought they could make better.
Also, “sidewalk surfboard” is just a great term.
